With the words ‘Big trees from little acorns grow’ ringing in my ears and realising that I could not access real acorns in time to make the CANDALA for the launch of Peace PAX, I went on a persistent online search to find inspiration. This eventually led me to the work of  Caroine Dewison and her beautiful, acorn beads. Our conversation led to my discovering that that she also did etched copper pieces as well so I commissioned her to make  the central piece for the CANDALA.  We put our heads together and came up with the design. ‘The Acorn Circle’ is etched with the words  Peace PAX on the 4 cardinal points, with 4 oak leaves radiating out on the diagonal axis and a single acorn sitting in the centre.

It was a joy to work with you Caroline. Thank you so much for your beautiful photographs which we will put on our website.
